What is Inventa Game?

Picture
We've created an awesome game with the help of specialists in early childhood education that encourages our kids to think outside the box, and to keep themselves busy while developing many highly important skills.

The game does not require anything special to be purchased - your kids already have everything they need around them - from unused gifts to old mittens!

Kids learn to become independent in their game play and learn to reuse what they have on hand, seeing items with new eyes and appreciation.

This also allows them to occupy themselves - without any screens - in a safe and familiar environment, building problem-solving skills, and most importantly, having a fantastic time.

How great is that?

How do you play?

Inventa Game is easy as 1, 2, 3... and evolves with your child's interests, skill set and imagination.

  • First off, they will impersonate the 'Imagination' tile they've picked.
  • They will physically go get the object they picked in the 'Item' category, and use it in their role play.
  • Finally, they will imagine themselves in the 'Situation' card they picked!

... let the creativity begin and the imagination run wild!

Vibrant colors, fun characters, and diverse situations, what's not to love?!

VOCABULARY DEVELOPMENT

Vocabulary development is a big part of Inventa Game, since when you become a character or take on a new pretend role, you need to be able to express what's going on.

EARLY READERS

Early readers can start practicing their newfound skills with the simple, easy to read words written on each tile.

Your child does not need to be able to read in order to participate in the game, thanks to the drawings that accompany each word.

Vowels have been colored differently in order to help them be easily identified.

PROBLEM-SOLVING SKILLS

Sometimes, strange combinations pop-up - with over 15 000 different possible outcomes, it could happen!

Problem solving skills are very much developed in Inventa Game.

Often a younger child will start by doing some pretend play with only one or two of the tiles to begin with.

Once he or she gets more advanced, logic and imagination create possible ways to play out whatever has been picked out in the three categories - and problem solving skills are at their finest.

PRACTICING A SECOND LANGUAGE

Tiles in Inventa Game are bilingual (French and English), allowing for practicing a second language easily, should your child be so inclined.

IMAGINATION

Inventa Game offers children a chance to really imagine anything they desire. From special jobs to funny situations, role play and pretend play are highly stimulated! This helps children express their emotions, get into contact with their environment and people surrounding them, and allows them to determine activities they like.

SELF CONFIDENCE

Since there are no winners or losers in Inventa Game, it really offers every child a chance to express himself or herself, while learning new things and showing themselves what they're capable of.

Whether they play alone or in a group, all kids are proud of the progress they've made, whether on the situation they just played out, or the fact that they were able to figure out uses for objects that surround them!

" I love the game! So many possibilities! It's educational, develops language but also resourcefulness, creativity and imagination. It's simple, colorful, no small pieces to lose, compact and easy to store or carry along and also easy on the family budget. It'll be center stage at our soon-to-come family gathering. I'm sure my 7 grand-kids will have a great time trying it out."

" Congratulations for the variety of images and contexts! Very few games offer the opportunity to work the complete sentence and the elaboration of the speech. Your game offers it."

"10/10!!! (...) it's THE best game I've tested so far!
I just tested Inventa Game, and I have only positive comments and a TON of ideas on how to use this game! Positive points we love: the pictures are too cute, the cards are colorful, solid, in French and English! You will find a version for indoor and an outdoor version! According to the instructions, the game is classified 4-8 years but my 14 month has participated and I have suggestions until any age! So in my opinion it's multi-age! (We like that!) And guess what .... You can play alone or even if you are 100 people! And the duration of the game is as you want! (When I tell you it's THE game we all have been waiting for !!!) The goal of the game is simple: I-MA-GI-NA-TION !!!! Make your brain and your children work! A beautiful 10/10 for this game that can be used in a ton of ways at home, at school or with specialists!!!"

" WoW! What a beautiful concept! Clear, simple, accessible, well detailed and educational! I JUST LOVE IT!!! Combining old items with new ideas is indeed a great way to use the material we have on hand, no matter where we are. It becomes even more interesting because you can use the game for several age groups!
In early childhood development, imagination has a very important place - it is one of the main aspects of development. This game really allows our kids to move forward in their development skills."

" The game helped create a quieter improv moment for the kids. As you know, at day camp we do a lot of activities that move around a lot, so being a bit calmer was really fun. The kids were able to relax, it was great. We had only nice comments from the camp instructors, that the game was easy to use, that the kids understood right away and played in their own way. Even with no material, they created an activity. The cards are really beautiful, the young people laughed to discover the characters and situations. It was really a good time and offered a change in their routine."

"Inventa Game would have been a fantastic tool to have in my class! I highly recommend it."

"... a game that does not require any specific items or material allows for spontaneity, so you can be outside, inside, at the cottage and become a different character in a completely different universe!"
- Bénédicte, educator for Les Papillons de Jules (Dallaire Group)

"Innovative games like the "Inventa Game" are always interesting because they affect several aspects of development: language, creativity, motor skills, cognitive skills as well as social and moral issues.
The game can also be adapted to the age of the child - this creates a sense of pride in being able to decide how to play.
(...) I saw a lot of possibilities for children with language difficulties where speech-language pathologists could use it in their work with these children. Here, for daycare centers, we see that we can have beautiful animations or activities where the educator is the guide. It could also be used for screening and observations to verify certain knowledge skills, to see if these are acquired on time or late… Same goes for schools and classes!
We know that everyone’s daily routine goes very quickly, and it kind of takes time away from those moments where there are really no specific rules to follow and it leaves only room for imagination. This game can be used and played as much as a fun family moment where everyone can express themselves, dress up, laugh, and make time to invent stories and imitate characters or actions.
... It really creates a sense of autonomy, trust, and pride.
I highly recommend it!"
- Audrey, pedagogical advisor, former daycare owner and mom!

The game was enjoyed by both girls and boys - during the trial period I really saw an interest from both sides. They came straightaway to try out the game and wanted to use it as soon as they saw it.

It was very easy for them to find the material to accompany them during the period of play. The whole class played together, and when I removed it from the games section, I was asked to reinstate it ASAP because the kids couldn’t get enough!

There are even some games that were invented during the trial period that have stayed, for example a large restaurant were customers can order silly items, and the children are still reusing that concept as we speak! The game really stimulated their imagination!

On October 5th we met Ashleay Dollard who presented her game Inventa Game. The game’s goal is to encourage young children from 4 to 8 years to develop their imaginative side. A very beautiful, simple and effective game.

Inventa Game is made in Quebec and retails at a cost of $ 34.99. There is also an outdoor version. Indeed, for $ 13, you can have a smaller version to take with you during your outings and even at the campsite.

Ashleay is a wonderful and radiant person, when we met her, we understood why there was so much happiness in her game tiles.
